3.3 SIM file : Settings for the Simulation

The simulation list contains all protocol specific settings that are necessary for the simulation of a certain protocol. It is to be distinguished between Master ( RTI ) or Slave ( RTU ) Simulation. Further settings for references to TDB buffers are also necessary.

For the simulation several adaptions must be done in the following lists :

Configuration ( KNF file )	Generic settings ( e.g. baud rate, ..., transmission procedure )
Simulation list ( SIM file )	Settings for the simulation ( e.g. response time out, ..., pre-defined send buffers )
Action filter ( VFL file )	Define actions for the application layer ( e.g. general interrogation, command status changes, ... )
Send buffer ( TDB file )	Editing of send buffers ( e.g. commands, indications, measurands, ... )
Send sequence list ( TSB file )	Editing of send sequences ( e.g. cyclic measurand transmission, ... )
Parameter list ( PAR file )	Protocol specific parameterization for conformance tests ( e.g. TypeID, cause, ... ) or import real process data for station simulation.
